What Hockey isn't Our National Game?...

If randomly we ask anyone from group about our national game, the only reply we got from them is 'Hockey'.Every school-going Indian child is taught that the peacock is the national bird of India, Jana Gana Mana the national anthem and hockey the national sport. But surprisingly, hockey is actually not the national sport of the country.Yes, Hockey isn't our National game .This has been confirmed by the Sports Ministry of India.
This revelation came to light by 12 year old child Aishwarya one who filled an RTI request to the Prime Minister’s Office in order to get certified copies of orders related to the declaration of the national anthem, sport, song, bird, animal, flower and the country’s symbol. The query about the national sport was forwarded to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.Reply from the sports ministry will confused she herself, her parents and teachers .In that the Sports Ministry confirmed that it had not declared any sport or game as the ‘national game' and also not found any official order or notification which calls hockey the national game.
This may confuse and ask us "Why has Hockey long been called as Our National game?". In some theories India has been won 6 Olympic Gold medals by Hockey during 1928 - 1956 and 11 until 1980. In those days Hockey is oddly out from other games and simply called as Nation's game. This would latter transform in "Hockey is our national game".This will also scattered in our education system as a basic knowledge.
India is country of "Unity in Diversity " were you can find many cultures, languages, religions, sports and etc., With so many people and cultures, It is impossible and impractical to choose one game that will appeal to the entire nation. Until India figures out about National game, People will rejoice and read about Hockey in books as "Our National Game"... (#Wrong Education).

Gandhiji is Not Father of our Nation

Since our school days we only know that father of our nation is Mahatma Gandhiji.History however holds that the title of Father of the Nation was given to the Mahatma by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, who in his address on Singapore Radio on July 6, 1944 has addressed Mahatma Gandhi as Father of the Nation.Gandhi's contribution to the Indian freedom movement cannot be measured in words. He, along with other freedom fighters, compelled the British to leave India. His policies and agendas were non-violent and his words were the source of inspiration for millions. From there he was called as "Father of our Nation".But our Indian Constitution don't have Official record about title Father of our Nation is Gandhiji. Our Indian Constitution Article 18 (1) , said that it does not permit any titles except education and military ones.Hence, in the present day we call him ‘Father of the Nation’. Though he is not given this tittle officially, but his work has inspired us to call him ‘The Father of the Nation’.
